Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon was a major fantasy bust for much of the 2022 season, but he's finished as a top-12 fantasy running back in standard leagues in each of the past three weeks, so his injury status for Week 16 is of high importance and significance for the second round of the fantasy football playoffs.
It's crunch time for fantasy managers so losing a player at a scarce position like running back can be the difference between winning a fantasy title or getting eliminated before you even get to the championship game.
Will Dillon play in Week 16 and should you start him against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday?

AJ Dillon Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Dillon (head) cleared the concussion protocol on Tuesday, according to head coach Matt LaFleur. Dillon left the Monday night game against the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth quarter to be checked for a concussion and never returned, but he's already cleared the league's protocols and should be good to play in Week 16 against the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Day.
That said, he'll continue to operate in a committee backfield with Aaron Jones.
Should I Start AJ Dillon In Week 16?
Before leaving last week's contest Dillon kept his touchdown streak alive by finding the end zone twice on 11 carries and 36 yards, also adding three catches for 35 yards. The 24-year-old battering ram of an RB has now scored four times on the ground for fantasy managers in the last three games.
That said, it's tough to bench a red-hot ball carrier, especially since the Dolphins have allowed the 12th-most fantasy points to running backs this season. The Packers offense is coming alive with rookie wideouts Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, Aaron Rodgers and company should be in the red zone often.
There's a very real risk with Dillon since his workload is capped by Jones' presence, but having a ton of solid fantasy running backs on your roster is rare at this point in the season, so Dillon should be started over anyone is he ahead of in our Week 16 Fantasy RB rankings.
