Dallas Goedert Injury Update
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (shoulder) has been activated from Injured Reserve and to the 53-man roster on Tuesday, according to the team. Goedert will play in Week 16 against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday for the first time since he injured his shoulder in Week 10. The 27-year-old was close to play in Week 15 against the Chicago Bears, but the Eagles played it safe and held him out one more game.
Before his injury, he was a must-start TE1 in Philly's high-scoring offense. Goedert should once again be attractive as a starting option for fantasy managers at the thinnest position, but he could face snap limitations this weekend and could also be without quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder), which will make him a more volatile fantasy option.
Hayden Hurst Injury Update
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst (calf) missed the past two games with an injury he suffered in Week 13. Furthermore, he hasn't practiced in the two weeks leading up to those games, making his return to practice on Tuesday significant. He was a limited participant, which is to be expected for the first time back.
The 29-year-old's production has been inconsistent, but he's averaged about five targets per game, which is impressive for a tight end. Furthermore, having Joe Burrow throw him the ball gives him an edge over many of the other players at his position. We'll see what his practice reports look like leading up to Saturday's game against the Patriots, but he will be a streaming option if he's active.
Noah Fant Injury Update
Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) missed practice on Tuesday with a knee injury. It's the first time he's popped up on the injury report with this issue, so it's hard to know the severity. The Seahawks use multiple tight ends throughout each game, but the 25-year-old has scored in two of the past three weeks.
Additionally, the team will be without wide receiver Tyler Lockett (finger) on Saturday, creating more opportunity for the other pass-catchers in the offense. If he cannot suit up, Will Dissly would be the immediate beneficiary, along with the remaining wide receivers, DK Metcalf and Marquise Goodwin, and the running backs, Kenneth Walker III (ankle) and Travis Homer.
