Chigoziem Okonkwo is a fourth-round rookie tight end out of Maryland. The 6-3, 238-pounder runs a 4.5 40-yard-dash, which wowed scouts at the NFL Draft Combine and warranted a fourth-round selection by the Tennessee Titans.
Okonkwo eased his way into his career, playing a small role in the offense through the first 11 weeks of the 2022 season. As Titans pass-catchers suffered injuries, opportunity came knocking and “Chig” answered.
Okonkwo has been a go-to pass catcher for quarterback Ryan Tannehill over the past four weeks, earning no less than five targets, three receptions, or 35 yards over that span. Is Okonkwo a potential league-winner at the tight end position?

What Did Chigoziem Okonkwo Do In Week 15?
Okonkwo led the Titans in targets in Week 15, grabbing four of his five targets for 54 yards and adding a 2-point conversion in the 17-14 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He also added a rush attempt for six yards.
The previous week, Okonkwo grabbed six receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown in the loss to Jacksonville. He has been reliably producing over the past two weeks.
What Is Chigoziem Okonkwo's Outlook For The Fantasy Playoffs?
Okonkwo’s role the past two weeks has been a result of rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks being out with a concussion. Burks is expected to return this week, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.
Despite Burks taking away touches in an already limited Tennessee passing attack, Okonkwo has earned a role in the offense with his strong production when given the opportunity. Tennessee should continue to find ways to put the ball in his hands.
Okonkwo plays Houston in Week 16 and Dallas in Week 17. Both are fairly appealing matchups, considering Houston has been keeping games close recently which results in more pass attempts than usual against them and considering the Dallas secondary is beaten and bruised.
Should I Pick Up Chigoziem Okonkwo?
Not only should Okonkwo continue to see usage despite the return of Burks and has no scary matchups over the next two weeks, but the guy is just a talented player.
His rookie season is graded amongst those of Hunter Henry, Kyle Pitts, and Mark Andrews despite his lack of involvement until late on in the season.
Add the talented tight end in all formats, and throw him into the starting lineup down the stretch if you do not have an elite option at the position.
