Desmond Ridder Held To 97 Passing Yards
2 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder had only 97 passing yards in the team's 21-18 Week 15 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The rookie made his first career start on Sunday after sitting behind Marcus Mariota for the first 14 games of the year. The former Cincinnati Bearcat completed only 50% of his passes, with over half of his 13 completions going to Drake London. While he struggled to throw the ball, Ridder had six rushing attempts for 38 yards in the game. Given the matchup against the Saints, it's disappointing to see the rookie fail to throw 100 yards in the contest. Over their previous three games, the Saints had surrendered 242 passing yards per game. Hopefully, Ridder can build off his awful debut and bounce back next week against the Baltimore Ravens.
