Is Courtland Sutton Playing In Week 15? Should I Pickup And Start Brandon Johnson For Fantasy Football?

Courtland Sutton - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I start Brandon Johnson for fantasy football Week 15? Is Brandon Johnson a good fantasy pickup off the waiver wire? Read the waiver wire outlook.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton was a popular 2022 breakout candidate after the team traded for Russell Wilson in the offseason.

However, Denver has had one of the worst offenses this season. Furthermore, it’s impacted the veteran’s fantasy value, as Sutton is the WR42 for the year, averaging 8.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.

Unfortunately, the former SMU star suffered a hamstring injury in Week 13 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Is Courtland Sutton Playing In Week 15?

Sutton left the Week 13 matchup after playing only 43% of the snaps. Then he missed last week’s contest against the Kansas City Chiefs because of the injury. Unfortunately, the veteran isn't healthy enough to play this week and will miss tomorrow’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

With Sutton and Kendall Hinton (hamstring) not playing this week, should fantasy players add Brandon Johnson off the waiver wire and start him against Arizona?

Should I Pickup And Start Brandon Johnson For Fantasy Football?

Last week Johnson had four targets against the Chiefs. However, he didn’t catch any of them. The rookie receiver has only 8.7 fantasy points this season.

Instead, fantasy players should add and start Chris Moore. The veteran receiver is available in over 85% of ESPN leagues. More importantly, the Houston Texans won’t have Brandin Cooks or Nico Collins for this week’s matchup against the Chiefs.

Tomorrow will be the second straight week the Texans won’t have either of their starting wide receivers. Last week, Moore had the best performance of his career. The former Cincinnati Bearcat caught 10 of 11 targets for 124 receiving yards, scoring 17.4 half-point PPR fantasy points against the Dallas Cowboys.

Furthermore, he has averaged 10.8 fantasy points per game this season in the four contests with five or more targets, scoring 8.5 fantasy points or more three times.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs have surrendered 31.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this year, the fourth-most in the NFL. Furthermore, they have given up 19 touchdowns to wide receivers this season, the most in the league.

With Cooks and Collins out this week, fantasy players should expect Moore to see double-digit targets for the second straight game. He has top-24 upside against the Chiefs.
