2 years agoIt sounds as if the San Francisco Giants are still trying to re-sign left-hander Carlos Rodon after signing starting pitchers Sean Manaea and Ross Stripling this week. The Giants and St. Louis Cardinals remain interested in the back-to-back All-Star hurler, but the New York Yankees remain optimistic that they can land him and are preparing to make a formal offer to him soon. Some sources are saying that the Yankees are Rodon's preferred destination because of his affinity for the East Coast (he's from Florida). The 30-year-old is believed to be seeking a seven-year deal worth around $200 million after becoming an ace in both real life and in fantasy over the last couple of seasons with the Giants and Chicago White Sox.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
