Drew Doughty Unavailable Sunday
2 years agoLos Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty will sit out Sunday's matchup against Columbus with a lower-body injury. He will be out for the first time this season, and Alexander Edler will be moving up in the lineup. Doughty has enjoyed a 17-point campaign so far, adding 48 hits and 43 blocks with 52 shots in 30 games. He pretty much does it all for the Kings, averaging 26:19 of ice time per game. Edler enters Sunday having six points for the season in 26 games with 25 shots, 45 hits and 43 blocks. He should be very well capable of making up for Doughty's absence in the defensive zone, but he lacks the same offensive ability and the team will be weaker because of it.
