Heading into Week 14, playing the right DST can not only be the difference between a win and a loss but also the difference between making or missing the fantasy playoffs. Many fantasy managers have likely been scouring the waiver wire weekly, streaming defenses with good matchups.
The Patriots defense has returned to elite form in 2022, ranking as one of the top DST options season-long. However, the last two weeks have been spotty for them against strong offenses in Minnesota and Buffalo. This week they face another strong offense in the Arizona Cardinals on the road on Monday Night Football.

What Has The Patriots DST Done in 2022?
For fantasy purposes and real football purposes, the Patriots DST has been spectacular this season.
They rank fourth amongst all DST on the year in points scored, averaging 9.6 fantasy points per game. Like many DST options, they have been streaky at times but often play well in good matchups.
Should I Start The Patriots DST In Week 14 Fantasy Football?
The Patriots have given up 28.5 points per game in their past two contests, having given up 16.3 points per game in the previous ten to open the season. The matchup this week is with the Arizona Cardinals, who have been a streaky offense themselves.
Arizona only put up 24 points on a weak Chargers’ defense last week, and the week before only put up 10 against a strong San Francisco defense. The Cardinals are in the middle of the pack when looking at yards (20th) and points (16th) on a per game basis.
Aside from probably missing cornerback Jalen Mills again, the defense is fully healthy and has a chance to rebound against Arizona. The Patriots DST is a startable option in Week 14, although there are stronger options out there this week.
