BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 3% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: With WR1 Cooper Kupp out of commission since Week 10, the Los Angeles Rams have been forced to use a rather slim rotation of viable fantasy WRs for the past month of play. It's been a rotating wheel of performers on a weekly basis with Allen Robinson II, Van Jefferson, Brandon Powell, and lastly Ben Skowronek leading the team in PPR points each of the past four weeks.
Allen Robinson went down one week after Kupp did. Van Jefferson has been good-not-great of late. If you're looking the gain the smallest of edges in deeper leagues, though, Skowronek is probably your man.
Barely rostered at all (compared to Jefferson's 26% rostership), Skowronek has appeared in all games this season and always played at least 34 offensive snaps, or 62% of them over each full game. He was better through the first six games of the season (8.8 FPPG) than the last seven (4.3) but last TNF could have announced his comeback playing under new Rams QB Baker Mayfield.
Skowronek got targeted 8 times of which he caught 7 passes for 89 yards. He has yet to score his first touchdown of the season, but if that is the type of volume of targets he'll get ROS then we can't really complain about the lack of scores.
Betting on Skowronek at this point and with just one game of more than 5.0 PPR points (last TNF; 15.9) over the past two months is hard, but Skowronek had three games of 10+ PPR points from Week 3 to Week 6 so he's proven he is capable of getting there.
Not a WW target for fantasy GMs in most leagues, but a good flier for those in deeper competitions entering the playoffs and with the upside of having a reborn (at least we hope) Mayfield tossing him the rock.
