Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has had an excellent sophomore season. The former Alabama star receiver hasn’t gotten his due credit because of the addition of Tyreek Hill.
However, the second-year player is the WR9 for the year, averaging 13.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Furthermore, Waddle has scored more fantasy points than several superstars named wide receivers, including DK Metcalf and Amari Cooper.
Unfortunately, Dolphin fans and fantasy players had their hearts skip a beat last week. The young star receiver left the Week 13 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers with a fibula injury.

Is Jaylen Waddle Healthy Or Injured?
Waddle played only 52% of the snaps last week after he left the game early with the injury. The star receiver was limited in Wednesday’s practice. However, he says he is ready to go for Sunday night’s matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
While Waddle says he is ready to go, players sometimes get ahead of themselves. The team will have to consider his health for the rest of the season before declaring him ready to play on Sunday.
What Wide Receivers Should I Consider Adding Off The Waiver Wire?
Fantasy players should have a backup plan in place on the chance Waddle can’t play this week. With six teams on a bye in Week 14, finding a replacement on the waiver wire might be difficult.
However, one receiver fantasy players should add today is Zay Jones. The Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver was unstoppable two weeks ago against the Baltimore Ravens.
Unfortunately, he had a disappointing performance last week, scoring only 2.6 half-point PPR fantasy points against the Detroit Lions. However, the veteran wide receiver had seven targets in the contest. He has earned at least seven targets in three straight games. More importantly, Jones has averaged 10.3 targets and 11.8 fantasy points per game over the past three weeks.
In Week 14, he faces the Tennessee Titans. They have surrendered 34.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, the most in the NFL.
Fantasy players concerned about Waddle’s health should add Jones off the waiver wire today.
