Lamar Jackson Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) suffered a sprained left PCL in the Week 13 win over the Denver Broncos, according to leagues sources. PCL injuries often sideline players for one to three weeks, and head coach John Harbaugh already has said that Jackson is "less likely" to play in Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fantasy managers should already be benching Jackson for this weekend, and there's a chance he'll miss additional time.
With the fantasy playoffs beginning in Week 15 in most leagues this year, this is terrible timing for the high-end QB1. Backup Tyler Huntley will get another start this Sunday, and he'll have some QB2 appeal because of his rushing abilities.
Trevor Lawrence Injury Update
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence appears to be fine after suffering a scary-looking injury in the loss to the Detroit Lions. Lawrence's injury looked very serious at first glance, but head coach Doug Pederson said there are no issues with his knee after it was checked out. However, the team is still evaluating a foot injury.
It's unclear whether or not Lawrence will be limited in practice or miss any game action. Lawrence came into Week 13 with a lot of hype against a struggling Lions' defense, but Jacksonville couldn't get anything going. If Lawrence is good to go, he'll face a struggling Titans' secondary in Week 14.
Jimmy Garoppolo Injury Update
Doctors concluded on Tuesday that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) doesn't need surgery for a Lisfranc injury to his left foot, and if his rehab goes smoothly, he could have a chance to return in seven to eight weeks, according to sources. Garoppolo will now be a potential playoff contributor if the Niners make a deep playoff run.
The Divisional Round is seven weeks from the day Garoppolo was injured on Sunday, the Conference Championship game is eight weeks again and the Super Bowl is 10 weeks away. It was previously thought that the 31-year-old would miss the rest of the year, but there's a chance we'll see him again. In the meantime, rookie Brock Purdy will be leading San Fran's offense
John Wolford Injury Update
Los Angeles Rams quarterback John Wolford (neck) was estimated as a limited participant in his team's walkthrough on Tuesday. Wolford is dealing with a sore neck and is being called day-to-day ahead of his team's Thursday night matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
If Wolford is unable to start, the Rams could turn to the newly-signed Baker Mayfield, who they picked up off of waivers on Tuesday afternoon. Wolford will not be a recommended fantasy option in Week 14 even if he does feel good enough to suit up.
