Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon was hurt early in Monday's game against Philadelphia and was ruled out for the night with an upper-body injury. Before leaving, he was able to collect his 34th point of the campaign with a power-play assist. It appeared that MacKinnon got hurt on a check by Philadelphia's Scott Laughton. The defending champions have been incredibly unlucky with injuries this season, as MacKinnon joins a list that already includes fellow forwards Artturi Lehkonen (upper body), Evan Rodrigues (lower body), Gabriel Landeskog (knee) and Valeri Nichushkin (ankle). Mikko Rantanen is the only top-six regular who remains in the lineup. Colorado returns to action Wednesday versus Boston and we should know more about MacKinnon's injury prior to the game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
