Marlins Not Listening On Sandy Alcantara
2 years agoThe Miami Marlins won't listen to trade offers on Cy Young winner Sandy Alcantara this offseason, but they will listen on "almost anyone" else. Beyond Pablo Lopez, the Marlins will listen on Jesus Luzardo, Edward Cabrera and other starters. Miami has an abundance of arms in a market where starters' values are sky high, and the Marlins could use more hitters. Alcantara was a unanimous National League Cy Young winner in 2022 with a 2.28 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 207 strikeouts and 50 walks in 228 2/3 innings pitched this season. The 27-year-old signed a five-year, $56 million contract extension in November of 2021 and should remain in Miami for a while.
