Mike Boone Has Seven Touches In His Return
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Mike Boone came off Injured Reserve in the Week 13 game on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. It was his first game action since Week 7, and he carried the ball six times for 18 yards and caught his only target in the passing game for an eight-yard pickup. Marlon Mack had only two carries for three yards. Boone was the clear backup to veteran Latavius Murray, but it's possible he could carve out a bigger piece of the backfield pie in the final five games of the season. Still, even if he does, Boone won't have any standalone fantasy value unless Murray misses time with an injury. Boone came into Sunday's game with only 15 carries for 82 yards and six receptions for 61 yards, but he has a more clear path to playing time with Melvin Gordon III gone and Chase Edmonds (ankle) on Injured Reserve.
