The DST position is one of the trickier propositions in fantasy football, but can sometimes be the difference between wins and losses. As we head into Week 13 of the NFL season, many fantasy managers are left searching for viable streaming options at the DST spot for Sunday, December 4th.
Despite high preseason expectations for their defense, the Cleveland Browns have underwhelmed on that side of the ball this year. The Browns will face the Houston Texans in Week 13. The Texans' offense is one of the worst units in the NFL and is currently averaging just 15.8 points per game, a mark that ranks the squad tied for 30th in the NFL.
So, should we start the Cleveland Browns DST this week against Houston?

What Has The Browns DST Done in 2022?
The Browns have been a disappointing DST unit in 2022. Despite coming into the season with high expectations, Cleveland has underwhelmed and allowed opponents to score an average of 26.0 points per game. The Browns have recorded 25 sacks, while the unit's three INTs are the second-fewest in the NFL this season.
They currently stand tied for 30th in the NFL in average DST fantasy points per game at 4.0.
Should I Start The Browns DST In Week 13 Fantasy Football?
Cleveland has disappointed both fans and fantasy managers alike with their listless defensive play in 2022. The Browns have failed to generate consistent pressure or create turnovers this year.
Though they have underwhelmed to this point, they draw a very enticing matchup against a horrid Houston offense in Week 13. The Texans give up the second-most points per game to opposing defenses at 13.7 points per game and rank dead last in the NFL in Total Offense DVOA. Cleveland deserves streaming consideration from needy fantasy managers, thanks to Houston's complete offensive ineptitude.
