The DST position is one of the trickier propositions in fantasy football, but can sometimes be the difference between wins and losses. As we head into Week 13 of the NFL season, many fantasy managers are left searching for viable streaming options at the DST spot for Sunday, December 4th.
After a sluggish start to the year, the Washington Commanders are playing quality football and have now won six of their last seven games. The Commanders will face the New York Giants in Week 13. The Giants' offense is currently averaging 20.5 points per game, a mark that ranks the squad 22nd in the NFL.
So, should we start the Wahington Commanders DST this week against New York?

What Has The Commanders DST Done in 2022?
The Commanders have been a rock-solid DST unit in 2022. Despite playing without star EDGE rusher Chase Young for the entire season. Washington ranks fourth in the NFL in pressure rate and has recorded 30 sacks.
They currently stand tied for ninth in the NFL in average DST fantasy points per game at 7.2 and have a good chance to get Young back in the lineup this week against New York.
Should I Start The Commanders DST In Week 13 Fantasy Football?
The Commanders head into Week 13 playing excellently on the defensive side of the ball. Washington has held opponents to 13 points or less in back-to-back weeks.
This week they draw a divisional foe in the New York Giants. The G-Men have lost three of their last four and have been severely depleted by injuries, especially in their receiving corps and offensive line.
We can expect Washington's talented d-line to put a spotty NY unit to the test this week. The Commanders should be considered a top-10 fantasy DST unit and deserve serious streaming attention.
