Aaron Rodgers Will Start Against Bears
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (rib, thumb) didn't receive a game designation on Friday and will start against the Chicago Bears in Week 13 on Sunday. The bad news, though, is that starting left tackle David Bakhtiari underwent an appendectomy on Friday and will not play. Rodgers probably isn't 100 percent going into the weekend after injuring his rib in the Week 12 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but he's going to tough it out. The 39-year-old future Hall of Famer has also been playing through a broken right thumb, which has affected his accuracy. Rodgers has owned the Bears in his career, but he just hasn't been the same without Davante Adams this year and profiles as a low-end QB2 while playing through injuries. The good news is he could have all of his receivers back healthy if rookie Romeo Doubs (ankle) is active.
