Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had arguably the best-ever season for a rookie wide receiver in 2021, earning him first-round draft capital in 2022 fantasy drafts. After a handful of explosive performances, the second-year man out of LSU suffered a hip injury, and he missed each of the Bengals' last four games.
There was hope he'd play in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans, but he was ruled out late in the week. Will he play against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13 and what is his fantasy outlook in his first game back?
We've got the latest on Chase in our fantasy injury update.

Ja'Marr Chase Injury Update
Chase (hip) said that he's preparing to play in Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs. "We'll see how I feel later in the week, but I'm planning to take some reps," Chase said. He's not a lock yet to return this Sunday, but the Bengals have been hoping all along that he could return to face the Chiefs this weekend after injuring his hip in Week 7.
We'll keep a close eye on his practice participation this week, and it sounds like he'll at least be limited in Wednesday's session.
Ja'Marr Chase Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook
If Chase is active, caution has to be thrown out the window. The upside far outweighs the risk, so unless the Bengals clearly state he'll be limited in the game, he's a must-start. Last season, Chase caught 11 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns against Kansas City in the regular season. Kansas City has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, so all in all, the ceiling sets up to be sky-high for Chase in his first game back.
Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, and Hayden Hurts will all see diminished roles, but Higgins will remain a must-start, while Boyd and Hurts will likely be matchup-dependent streamers and quality DFS plays.
Help is likely on the way for Chase fantasy managers battling for a playoff spot, but make sure to keep an eye on his status all the way to Sunday.
