Titans Restructure Robert Woods' Contract
2 years agoThe Tennessee Titans restructured the contract of wide receiver Robert Woods on Tuesday by converting his base salary into a signing bonus, creating $2.6 million in salary cap space. The Titans were tight to the salary cap before the move. Fantasy managers were hoping for more production from Woods as the Titans' No. 1 receiver this year, but the 30-year-old veteran has produced only 32 receptions on 56 targets for 351 yards and one touchdown in 11 games in his first year in Tennessee's run-first offense. Woods has mostly been a short-area target for quarterback Ryan Tannehill, and he lacks any real upside on a weekly basis in this offense as a WR4/flex for fantasy managers.
