Packers Defense Give Up 40 Points In Week 12
2 years agoThe Green Bay Packers defense yielded 40 points, generated two sacks, and recovered a forced fumble during the team's 40-33 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. It was the most points Green Bay has allowed all season. The Eagles gashed the Packers, gaining 500 total yards, with 363 of them coming on the ground. Green Bay had no answers for quarterback Jalen Hurts, who set the record for most rushing yards by an Eagles quarterback in a single game. The team lost safety Darnell Savage early in the contest and had multiple players go down for brief periods. Next week's matchup against Chicago is intriguing, as quarterback Justin Fields (shoulder) could miss the game after sitting out this week. However, the Packer defense is more of a floor play, considering they have one of the lowest turnover totals in the league.
