Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 13: Top Free Agent Adds Include Zay Jones, Treylon Burks, Jameson Williams

DeAndre Carter - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Justin Carter's fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups for Week 13 of the 2022 NFL season. His free agent WRs to add, stream and stash off waivers.

Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving? Can you believe that a record number of people took the time to watch the Giants and Cowboys play on Thursday—imagine looking back one day and saying that Daniel Jones played QB in the most-watched regular season game ever. Anyway, you came here for receivers, so let's get you some receivers. Below, you'll find some wide receivers that you should be targeting on the fantasy football waiver wire ahead of Week 13.

Not all of these waiver wire options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster.

Be sure to also check out our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 13 for help at all the skill positions. All players on this list here are around 50% rostered or below.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Wide Receivers Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Zay Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars - 48% rostered

In the game before the bye, Zay Jones was targeted 10 times, and I thought "hmm, I guess that's interesting." This week, he was targeted 14 times, and I thought "okay, this really is interesting." 24 targets over a two-game stretch is a lot of targets.

This week, Jones caught 11 passes, finishing with 145 yards and a two-point conversion. The Jaguars offense felt energized, and there's really not a huge target gap between him and Christian Kirk at this point. He's a WR3 play right now, though the general inconsistency of the Jags offense worries me.

Treylon Burks, Tennessee Titans - 51% rostered

Treylon Burks made the play of the day on Sunday, hustling down the field and recovering a Derrick Henry fumble for a touchdown. But even beyond that play, it was a good afternoon for the rookie, who caught four passes for a team-high 70 yards. He shared the team lead in targets with Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, but over the last two games, Burks has consistently done more with those targets. It's safe to call him the No. 1 receiver for the Titans, though from a fantasy perspective, that isn't necessarily a safe role to have. Still, it's a weak week for receivers on the wire, so consider Burks a top add if you need wideout depth.

Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions - 39% rostered

If there's a league-winning receiver left on the wire, it's either Jameson Williams or Odell Beckham Jr. Williams still hasn't played in an NFL game as he recovers from a torn ACL, but it's trending toward Williams making his debut against Jacksonville in Week 13. Considering the Lions receiving depth chart is basically Amon-Ra St. Brown and then just a bunch of other guys, Williams could have an instant role. He was an explosive player in college. If that translates, he'd have some really high upside. Think of him as a WR4.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns - 50% rostered

Peoples-Jones had his worst game since Week 3 on Sunday, catching just two passes for 16 yards. That ended a stretch of seven games in a row with at least 50 receiving yards. It's a streak that could start back up as soon as this upcoming Sunday, as the Browns will finally make the move to Deshaun Watson under center as his suspension has ended. Peoples-Jones has been a solid floor play with Jacoby Brissett throwing the ball, but now having Watson should also increase his ceiling a good bit.

Michael Gallup, Dallas Cowboys - 25% rostered

Gallup had a season-high eight targets on Thursday against the Giants, which also translated to season highs in receptions (five) and yards (63). Gallup hasn't been having a great year as he works back from ACL surgery and the potential signing of Odell Beckham Jr. hurts his upside as well, but as of now, he's the Cowboys No. 2 wideout, which means he should at least be rosteted in most 12-team leagues.

Isaiah McKenzie, Buffalo Bills - 33% rostered

McKenzie had a season-high 10 targets this week, catching six of them for 96 yards and a touchdown. After catching three touchdowns in the first four games, McKenzie hadn't found the end zone again until Thanksgiving. Is it a sign of things to come? Maybe. But he also didn't even have a catch in Week 11, so McKenzie's floor is rock bottom. He's a boom-or-bust WR4 play...so add him if you really need the boom.

Chase Claypool, Chicago Bears - 55% rostered

It sounds like Darnell Mooney is done for the year with an ankle injury, which will propel Claypool into the No. 1 receiver role. This offense is a little too run-centric with Justin Fields under center for that to mean too much for Claypool, but he should be a solid WR4 play going forward, with some added upside because he'll be at the top of Chicago's thin receiving room.

Nico Collins, Houston Texans - 24% rostered

The Texans started Kyle Allen at quarterback this week. It went...meh. Allen was a disaster in the first half, but he at least managed to put up yards in the second half. Maybe he just needed some time to get comfortable on an NFL field again?

Anyway, let's get to Nico Collins. In the final two games with Davis Mills under center, Collins looked like he'd taken over as the No. 1 receiver in Houston, and he picked right up where he left off in Allen's first start. He's got WR3 upside, if Allen can avoid playing like he did in the first half, when he had just 49 yards.

DeAndre Carter, Los Angeles Chargers - 23% rostered

With Mike Williams out, Carter saw 10 targets, catching seven of them for 73 yards and a touchdown. This was by far his best showing of the season, but we could continue to see him deliver solid results—five catches, 50 yards, maybe a touchdown—until the Chargers have Williams back. There's some value there.

Wide Receiver Deeper League Waiver Wire Pickups

The pickings in deep leagues are even slimmer than in normal-sized leagues this week. I skipped writing over Nelson Agholor and Jauan Jennings because I don't see the path to value, but if you're really desperate, they're there.

Kendall Hinton, Denver Broncos - 1% rostered

A lot of industry people have been in on Hinton lately, and the process is working there, as his nine targets led the Broncos this week. He caught five passes for just 35 yards because the Broncos offense really struggled as a whole, but I like the usage. He's a deep-league streaming option if Jerry Jeudy remains out next week.

David Bell, Cleveland Browns - 1% rostered

Cleveland gets Deshaun Watson back next weekend, and I really don't know what to expect. The general consensus is probably that Donovan Peoples-Jones gets helped the most, but he's already rostered in most larger leagues. That's well David Bell comes in. If you want to throw a dart at a Browns receiver and hope that Watson's arrival helps him, why not Bell, who has at least five targets in three straight games?
