Maxx Williams Elevated To Active Roster
Maxx Williams was elevated to the active roster from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Chargers. The 28-year-old has played 73 games in the NFL, with 35 of them being in a Cardinals uniform. During his career, he's amassed 103 catches for 1,001 yards and six touchdowns. While it's unknown how long Williams' latest stint on the active roster will last, he could be a sneaky value play for DFS managers in Week 12, even if he's not the No. 1 option on the depth chart.

Maxx Williams Released By Cardinals
Maxx Williams (knee, ankle) on Friday. Williams played behind veteran Zach Ertz and rookie Trey McBride in Week 4 and failed to earn a target through four weeks this season. The 28-year-old is reportedly dealing with knee and ankle injuries and Cardinals general manager Steve Keim expressed interest in bringing him back when healthy. In the meantime, McBride will likely see an uptick in snaps and opportunities and could be a name to keep an eye on for fantasy purposes.

Maxx Williams Activated From PUP List
Maxx Williams (knee) from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Thursday, and he is dressed for practice at training camp. Williams has been sidelined since tearing his ACL in Week 5 of last year. Before the injury, he was off to the best start of his career with 16 catches for 193 yards. But unless Zach Ertz misses time with injury in 2022, Williams probably isn't worth considering for fantasy rosters. In his three seasons with Arizona, the 28-year-old has 39 receptions on 46 targets for 497 yards and three touchdowns in 30 games (23 starts). In seven NFL seasons with the Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens, Williams has hauled in just six touchdowns in 72 games.

Cardinals Hopeful Maxx Williams Will Return Soon
Maxx Williams (knee) will be able to return from the Physically Unable to Perform list before the end of training camp. Williams tore his ACL in Week 5 last year. "He's worked his tail off," Kingsbury said. "There have been a couple guys throughout the league, it takes a year-and-a-half, two years to come back. I'd say he's ahead of schedule. Not saying he'll be ready to go or how that looks, but from where it started to where it is now I couldn't be more impressed." The 28-year-old has 39 receptions (46 targets) for 497 yards and three touchdowns in three years with Arizona, so he's unlikely to become a fantasy asset in 2022, even if Zach Ertz misses time with injury.

Cardinals Put Maxx Williams On PUP List
Maxx Williams (knee) on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Friday. Williams only played in five games for Arizona last year due to a serious knee injury that he's still rehabbing. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to practice this summer, and if he remains on the PUP to begin the regular season, he'll have to miss at least the first four games. The 28-year-old has played in only 14 games (13 starts) in the last two seasons in the desert, catching 24 of 27 targets for 295 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals have Zach Ertz as their clear No. 1 receiving tight end, and they also drafted rookie Trey McBride. Williams is well off the fantasy radar entering the 2022 season.
