As the Cincinnati Bengals prepare for a Week 12 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, the Bengals are dealing with uncertainty in their receiving corps. Sharp fantasy managers should stay on top of this situation.
Bengals' WR Ja'Marr Chase has been recovering from a hip injury in recent weeks. Chase last suited up in Week 7 against Atlanta but has been working towards a return to the Cincinnati lineup.
Is Ja'Marr Chase playing in Week 12? Should I start Tyler Boyd in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans? Below we take a quick look at the updated injury status for Chase and attempt to answer these questions.

Is Ja'Marr Chase Playing In Week 12?
After a dazzling rookie season in 2021, Ja'Marr Chase has posted 605 receiving yards and six TDs across seven games in 2022.
Unfortunately, the superstar receiver hasn't been able to suit up since Week 7 due to a hairline hip fracture and torn labrum. While Chase has reportedly made progress recently and was expected to be a game-time decision this week against the Tennessee Titans, The Score's Jordan Schultz reports that Chase will be out for Week 12 with an eye on a return against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13.
Should I Start Tyler Boyd In Week 12 Against The Titans?
Since Ja'Marr Chase was forced from the Bengals' lineup in Week 7, Tyler Boyd has worked as the second option in the Cincinnati passing attack.
Boyd has seen a steady stream of opportunities in Chase's absence. He's been targeted a total of 18 times over Cincy's last three, amassing 124 yards and a score on 10 receptions.
With Chase reportedly out in Week 12, Boyd will once again have a sizable role in the Bengals' passing offense. The Titans have allowed the second-most TDs in the NFL to the wide receiver position and have relinquished 1,880 yards to opposing wide outs this season. Due to the pass-funnel nature of this matchup, as well as Chase's expected absence, Boyd should be considered a WR3 and a viable option for fantasy managers.
