Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson has had a hot and cold rookie season. The former North Dakota State star receiver started the year slowly but has been unstoppable lately.
Over the first nine weeks this season, the second-round rookie missed three games because of injuries. In the six games he played, Watson had more than two receptions only once. Furthermore, the rookie scored fewer than 3.5 half-point PPR fantasy points in 67% of those contests.
However, the former North Dakota State star has put together back-to-back outstanding performances.

Should I Start Christian Watson In Week 12?
Over the past two weeks, Watson has totaled eight receptions on 14 targets for 155 receiving yards. However, he has five receiving touchdowns during that span.
The rookie receiver had 49.8 half-point PPR fantasy points in Weeks 10 and 11. He was the WR2 during that span, averaging 24.9 fantasy points per game. The only wide receiver to score more fantasy points during that span was former Green Bay superstar Davante Adams (52.7).
If the rookie is still available on the waiver wire in your league, Watson is a must-add immediately. However, should fantasy players start him in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles?
Given how well he has played the past two weeks, benching the rookie might be difficult. Yet, fantasy players should consider it. The Eagles have held wide receivers to 24.5 fantasy points per game this season, the 10th-fewest in the NFL. Furthermore, they have given up only one receiving touchdown to wide receivers over their past five games.
What Waiver Wire Wide Receiver Should I Pickup And Start Instead?
Instead of starting Watson against Philadelphia, fantasy players should check their bench and the waiver wire for a replacement option.
One receiver that fantasy players can add off the waiver wire and start this week is Demarcus Robinson. The Baltimore Ravens receiver is available in over 85% of ESPN leagues.
The veteran receiver has played well the past few weeks. Robinson had an excellent performance in Week 11 with eight receptions for 128 receiving yards. Furthermore, he was the WR8 last week with 17.3 fantasy points and made several impressive plays.
More importantly, Robinson has an appealing matchup this week. The Jacksonville Jaguars have surrendered 29.4 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, the eighth-most in the NFL. Furthermore, they have given up four receiving touchdowns to the position over the past two weeks.
