Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has struggled this season. The veteran is the QB25 for the year, averaging only 12 fantasy points per game.
His production this season has been extremely disappointing, considering his play last year. The former first-overall pick tied a career-high with 41 passing touchdowns in 2021. Meanwhile, Stafford is on pace to throw only 16 touchdowns this season.
Unfortunately, the veteran quarterback missed the Week 10 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals with a concussion. Then, Stafford left last week’s game against the New Orleans Saints with an injury.

Is Matthew Stafford Or Bryce Perkins Starting in Fantasy Football Week 12?
Despite their season heading in the wrong direction, the Rams are being very cautious with the quarterback’s injury. On Wednesday, head coach Sean McVay ruled Stafford out for this week’s game due to a strained neck.
The decision on whether Perkins or John Wolford will start on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs hasn’t been made. Perkins took most of the first-team reps in practice this week as Wolford was dealing with a neck injury.
However, Wolford practiced the past two days and is healthy enough to play this week. Regardless of which backup quarterback starts for the Rams, fantasy players should avoid starting them in Week 12.
What Quarterbacks Should I Target On The Waiver Wire?
Instead of starting Perkins or Wolford, fantasy players should check the waiver wire for Jacoby Brissett. The Cleveland Browns quarterback is available in over 80% of ESPN leagues.
Last week the veteran quarterback had his best performance of the season, scoring 25.9 fantasy points against a talented Buffalo Bills defense. Furthermore, he had three passing touchdowns in the game, including two to Amari Cooper.
Brissett has played well over the past few weeks. Over his last three games, the career backup has averaged 20.9 fantasy points per game, scoring 16.5 fantasy points in every contest. Furthermore, he scored 20 or more fantasy points twice during that span.
More importantly, Brissett has an appealing matchup in Week 12. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have surrendered two or more passing touchdowns in seven of their past eight games.
Meanwhile, the veteran quarterback has five passing touchdowns over the past three weeks. Fantasy players in need of a streaming option this week should consider Brissett.
