The difference in fantasy wins and losses can often come down to injuries, and how fantasy managers handle them. Ahead of Week 12, the Miami Dolphins are dealing with an injury situation in their backfield.
Dolphins' RB Raheem Mostert has been dealing with a knee injury ahead of a Week 12 matchup with the Houston Texans. Recently acquired RB Jeff Wilson Jr. has performed well since joining Miami in Week 9 and would be in line for a significant workload if Mostert is unable to play this Sunday.
Is Raheem Mostert out for Week 12? Should I start Jeff Wilson Jr. in Week 12 against the Houston Texans? Below we take a quick look at the updated injury status for Mostert and attempt to answer these questions.

Is Raheem Mostert Playing In Week 12?
Raheem Mostert has performed well for the Miami Dolphins this year. Mostert has amassed 662 total scrimmage yards and four TDs in 2022.
Unfortunately, Mostert has been battling a lingering knee injury in recent weeks. Despite having a bye week to rest and recover, the Dolphins' back didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday this week. After getting in limited work on Friday, Mostert has been officially designated doubtful for Week 12's game against the Houston Texans.
Should I Start Jeff Wilson Jr. In Week 12 Against The Texans?
Since coming to Miami in a trade from the San Francisco 49ers, Jeff Wilson's impact has been immediate and significant for this Dolphins' offense.
Wilson has out-snapped Mostert 67-43 in his two games with Miami and has been extremely productive. The former Niner has already accounted for 215 total yards and two scores since landing in South Beach.
With Mostert officially doubtful for Week 12, Wilson will inherit a near-every-down role in the Miami backfield.
Wilson is likely already owned in your fantasy league, but if he happens to be available, don't walk...run to pick him up. He has integrated flawlessly into head coach Mike McDaniel's running system in Miami.
Wilson draws an absolute smash matchup against the Houston Texans this week. Houston ranks dead last in the league in rushing yards and rushing TDs allowed to the RB position. He should be considered a must-start fantasy option in RB1 territory if Mostert is indeed ruled out for Week 12's game against the Texans.
