Is Mecole Hardman Healthy Or Injured? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Mecole Hardman - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Is Mecole Hardman Healthy Or Injured? Who Can I Add Off The Waiver Wire And Start In Week 11?

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman has spent most of his career stuck behind Tyreek Hill. However, the former Georgia star has made a fantasy impact this season.

The former second-round pick has averaged 10.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, making him the WR34 for the year. However, the fourth-year receiver was playing arguably the best football of his career recently.

Hardman has averaged 60.3 scrimmage yards and 18.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over his past three games. Furthermore, he scored five scrimmage touchdowns during that span, scoring at least once in every contest.

Is Mecole Hardman Healthy Or Injured?

Unfortunately, injuries never come at a good time. The young receiver missed the Week 10 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars because of an abdominal injury.

Fantasy players hoped Hardman would return for the Week 11 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. However, the Chiefs placed the fourth-year receiver on injured reserve on Thursday.

While he will miss the next four games, Hardman should be ready to play in Week 15 against the Houston Texans.

Who Can I Add Off The Waiver Wire And Start In Week 11?

With Hardman out the next few weeks, Kadarius Toney (rostered in 60.3% of ESPN leagues) is the ideal replacement option. However, fantasy players should add Darius Slayton if Toney isn’t available.

The New York receiver is available in over 80% of ESPN leagues. Last week he scored his first touchdown of the season.

The veteran receiver struggled to see the field earlier this season as the team opted to play David Sills V over the first few weeks. However, Slayton has turned into a solid fantasy receiver.

Over the past five games, the veteran receiver has averaged 5.2 targets per game, seeing at least six in three contests. Furthermore, Slayton averaged 10.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game during that span, scoring 9.1 or more in 80% of the games.

Meanwhile, he has a fantasy-friendly matchup this week. The Detroit Lions have given up 29.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, the seventh-most in the NFL. Furthermore, they have given up two or more receiving touchdowns to wide receivers in a third of their games.
