After a highly-publicized trade to the Denver Broncos during the offseason, Russell Wilson has failed to live up to the mile-high expectations.
Wilson and this Denver offense have struggled mightily in his first season with the team. The Broncos rank dead last in the NFL in average points per game (14.6) and 31st in the league in Total Offense DVOA, while Wilson has passed for over 300 yards in just a single game in 2022.
So, should you drop Russell Wilson from your fantasy team?

What Has Russell Wilson Done This Season?
After an offseason blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks, Russell Wilson joined the Denver Broncos with mile-high expectations. He's failed to meet them by almost every measure.
Wilson has struggled badly in first-year HC Nathaniel Hackett's system. The Broncos currently rank dead last in the NFL in average points per game (14.6), while Wilson stands as the overall fantasy QB22.
Wilson has been a shell of his former self this season and scarcely resembles the dynamic dual-threat QB he was for so many years in Seattle. The veteran has appeared reluctant to run the ball and has managed just 121 on only 32 rushing attempts this season.
Should I Drop Russell Wilson?
Wilson has been a high-priority fantasy option for years, but those days are gone...at least in this current Denver offense.
First-year HC Nathaniel Hackett has been a disaster and the same can be said for Wilson and this offense, as Russ has failed to cook in the Mile High City. His average of 14.4 fantasy points per game in standard formats ranks him at just 25th among quarterbacks.
Wilson has received little help from his supporting cast this season, as the Broncos have been injury-depleted at multiple key positions. Those shortcomings have limited Wilson's upside in a significant way, as he's thrown for multiple TDs on just one occasion in 2022.
While those in 2-QB and Superflex leagues might want to give Russ one more chance this week in a great-on-paper matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, fantasy managers in standard leagues can cut their losses...and Wilson.
