Matthew NeSmith Returns To The RSM Classic
2 years agoMake it four straight starts at the RSM Classic for Matthew NeSmith, who is looking for his third top-15 finish in the event. Top-15 finishes have been very common for NeSmith so far this season. In his five starts this fall, NeSmith has three top-10 finishes, with a best result of T2 at Shriners. The main reason for his success this season has been on the greens. In the last two seasons, NeSmith has finished outside the top 140 in strokes-gained putting, losing over .150 on average per round. This season, NeSmith has gained an average of .256 per round, good enough for 71st on tour. Pairing his current success with his history of great putting at the RSM Classic, where he has never lost strokes on the greens throughout an event, NeSmith is a great option in all contests.
