DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Wednesday 11/16/22 - Week 12 Daily College Fantasy Football

We have three ore MAC games tonight as we near the end of mid-week MACtion. Buffalo already returned to Saturdays. Next week there are no games on Wednesday and only one on Thursday. Tuesday is great for mid-week MACtion next week, but then it's dormant until a monster Friday.

We start early tonight with my nemesis, Eastern Michigan, heading to Kent. An hour later, we have the bloodied Redhawks coming off the Battle of the Bricks and into DeKalb. We close this out with Western Michigan heading east to Mount Pleasant. This is going to be a fun one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/16/22 locking at 6:00 pm Eastern time. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. CFB Betting Picks for Week 12 (11/16)

I haven't had time to watch all of the games from last weekend yet, so I haven't tallied the results. For the MAC slates, I will provide all of the picks against the spread along with the DFS picks.

Eastern Michigan at Kent State(-7.5)

Betting Pick Confidence Factor: 3

Kent looked like the best team in the MAC last week. However, this is a different week and Kent isn't always consistent week-to-week. Last week was the first game that Kent won by more than a touchdown against a FBS team. So yeah, I'm a little nervous. Add that to my horrendous track record when picking the Eagles this season, and I have every reason not to bet this. I'm still going to though. Give me Kent!

Miami(OH) at Northern Illinois(-1.5)

Betting Pick Confidence Factor: 3

NIU has rotating quarterbacks and running backs. They are basically just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. That's not going to fly against this Redhawks defense. Give me Miami.

Western Michigan at Central Michigan(-10.5)

Betting Pick Confidence Factor: 1

This line is way up and I don't really know why. Jase Bauer and Lew Nicholls III are available for CMU this week, but is that worth the line jumping six points? Maybe, but I don't trust it. This feels a touch high. Give me Western, but I'm not touching this one.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Collin Schlee, Kent State ($8,200)

This is more about paying for potential than anything else. All quarterback plays on this slate are like that. Schlee is a decent runner as well, so his floor always stays pretty high. Kent is usually involved in close games, so Schlee should be throwing early and often in this one. He isn't always that accurate, but Schlee has only thrown two interceptions since Week 4. He takes care of the ball and puts up solid yardage totals. That's good enough for me on a slate like this!

Brett Gabbert, Miami(OH) ($6,200)

Gabbert might be the most talented quarterback on this slate. He missed nearly two months after an injury in the Kentucky game in Week 1, but that's an improvement. Gabbert wasn't supposed to play again this season, but he has managed three solid games since his return. Gabbert still isn't really running yet, but I'll take the four touchdowns and no turnovers over the last two games at this price. There is solid potential here.

Also consider: Austin Smith, Eastern Michigan ($6,700); Treyson Bourguet, Western Michigan ($6,600); Bert Emanuel Jr., Central Michigan

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Marquez Cooper, Kent State ($7,500)

Cooper has 836 rushing yards and five touchdowns in six MAC games, and that's including a horrible game against the Redhawks in which he only managed 32 yards. We saw Akron get a decent amount of chunk plays on the ground against this defense last week. I haven't seen anything that says they can stop Cooper over the course of an entire game.

Sean Tyler, Western Michigan ($6,600)

There could be a couple of NIU backs who do well, but we really have no idea as to how the carries will be split. That makes me nervous, and nervous doesn't win DFS contests. If we get some word I may pivot, but I'm inclined to rely on the safety of Tyler's numbers. He has 310 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns over the last three games. He was instrumental in keeping the defenses from attacking Bourguet over the last couple of games. I see a healthy workload and solid numbers for Tyler once again.

Also consider: Samson Evans, Eastern Michigan ($7,200); Lew Nichols III, Central Michigan ($6,200); Jaiden Credle, Northern Illinois ($5,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Corey Crooms, Western Michigan ($7,400)

In two games with Bourguet throwing the pigskin to Crooms, he has 15 receptions for 256 yards and a touchdown. Crooms was putting up solid numbers before Bourguet, but now he is unquestionably the biggest target hog for the Broncos. I feel safe paying this kind of money for Crooms because I know that he is going to have the volume to produce the numbers we need from him.

Devontez Walker, Kent State ($6,100)

Walker salvaged his one-catch performance against Ball State in Week 10 by finding the end zone. He was back to normal against Bowling Green last week. Walker now has five touchdowns on 11 receptions in the last three games. That is an unsustainable pace, but the fact that Kent is looking for him every time they are in the red zone is a good sign. He's worth throwing the dart in GPP formats at this price. Keep in mind that he had 11 receptions against the Redhawks back in Week 6. He usually gets a fair amount of targets regardless.

Mac Hippenhammer, Miami(OH) ($5,900)

Gabbert finally connected with his favorite target from last year eight times last week for 107 yards and three scores. 24 of Hippenhammer's 41 receptions have come from Gabbert even though they have only played a shade under four games together. He may not find the end zone three times against the Huskies, but we can expect Mac to be heavily involved in the offense with Gabbert throwing to him.

Also consider: Tanner Knue, Eastern Michigan ($6,200); Dylan Drummond, Eastern Michigan ($5,700); Tristen Tewes, Northern Illinois ($3,900)
