Curtis Samuel Totals 40 Yards In Win
2 years agoWashington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel caught two-of-four targets for 28 yards along with four carries for 12 yards in Monday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The 26-year-old has been seeing a consistent decline in usage ever since Taylor Heinicke took over at quarterback, and this week was no different. He has been seeing more usage in the run game, but the heavy target floor is what drove up his value at the beginning of the season while Carson Wentz was available. With this statement win, there is a chance that we see Heinicke take over at quarterback for the rest of the year, even with Wentz healthy. If that scenario occurs, it's going to be tough to trust Samuel on a week-to-week basis.
