Cardinals Release Eno Benjamin
2 years agoIn a surprise move, the Arizona Cardinals have informed running back Eno Benjamin, who filled in as the starter when James Conner was hurt this year, that they are releasing him on Monday, according to a source. With Conner back healthy, Benjamin played just one offensive snap in the win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. In his three starts with Conner injured from Weeks 6-8, Benjamin had 36 carries for 151 yards and a touchdown and added 11 receptions for 72 yards as a plug-and-play RB2 for fantasy managers. He'll look to sign with another team, but there's a good chance he won't be fantasy relevant like he was in Arizona. Darrel Williams (hip) is on Injured Reserve, so rookie Keaontay Ingram will serve as Conner's backfield for now.
