Should I Start the New York Giants DST In Week 10? Fantasy Football Team Defenses

Should I start New York Giants DST for fantasy football in Week 10? Is New York Giants DST a good start? Read the latest fantasy football outlook.

Many fantasy managers are searching for streaming options at the always-tricky DST position as Week 10 of the NFL season is upon us. Are the New York Giants a viable streaming option on Sunday, November 13th?

The Giants draw an enticing home matchup against the lowly Houston Texans in Week 10. Houston has struggled in all facets, but especially on offense, as they are averaging just 16.6 points per game this season.

So, should we start the New York Giants DST this week against the Texans?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

What Has The Giants DST Done in 2022?

The Giants have been a middling defensive unit to this point in 2022. They are allowing just 19.6 points per game this year, which places them at eighth in the NFL.

From a fantasy perspective, they currently stand 20th in the league in average fantasy points per game at 5.6.

Should I Start The Giants DST In Week 10 Fantasy Football?

While this Giants defense has been mediocre from a fantasy perspective this season, they deserve streaming consideration in Week 10 thanks to their home matchup against the Houston Texans.

Second-year Houston QB Davis Mills has failed to progress in his sophomore NFL campaign and his eight INTs are the second-most in the NFL through Week 9. Mills' turnover issues could point towards a spike week for a New York secondary that has just one INT this season.

While a home matchup against the woeful Texans is certainly notable, fantasy GMs should tread carefully here. The Giants DST unit has yet to prove itself as a true fantasy asset. Fantasy managers in desperate need of a DST streamer can utilize New York in this spot, but the Giants' DST shouldn't be considered a high-priority option.
