2 years agoThe Texas Rangers are showing interest in the top of the free-agent pitching market and have made contact with the agents for Jacob deGrom, Carlos Rodon and Kodai Senga, according to sources. The Rangers are also expected to give left-hander Martin Perez the $19.65 million qualifying offer. Texas acquired right-hander Jake Odorizzi from the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday, so he could be another rotation option as the team looks to contend in 2023. Despite getting a late start to the season in 2022 due to injury, deGrom will be the most sought after starting pitchers on the open market this year, and he'd immediately become the Rangers ace if they were able to land him.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
