Terrace Marshall Jr., a second-year wide receiver out of LSU, has finally been producing over the past few weeks after fantasy managers eagerly awaited a breakout over the beginning of his young career.
Going into Week 10, the waiver wire is thinning out with players settling into consistent roles. Does Marshall’s role on this Carolina Panthers passing attack led by a combo of P.J. Walker, Baker Mayfield, and Sam Darnold look like one that’s here to stay? Can we even trust anybody in the Carolina Panthers offense? Let’s dig in.

What Did Terrace Marshall Jr. Do In Week 9?
Coming off a breakout Week 8 performance with four receptions on nine targets for a career-high 87 yards, Marshall followed up in Week 9 with his first career touchdown.
Marshall caught three passes on six targets for 53 yards, including his 21-yard touchdown reception from Baker Mayfield in the fourth quarter of the blowout loss.
Since Robbie Anderson was traded from Carolina, Marshall has become a full-time player. He recorded an 86% snap share in Week 7, a 93% snap share in Week 8, and a 92% snap share last week in Week 9.
What to Worry About With Terrace Marshall Jr.?
The Carolina Panthers are a concerning offense for fantasy purposes (and for pure football enjoyment purposes), with the team currently ranked 30th in the NFL in yards and 23rd in points per game (19.9). Expecting consistent fantasy performances from any player in this offense is a lot to ask for unless you’re Christian McCaffrey.
That being said, the Panthers are typically expected to be trailing, which means they may turn to the pass more than you’d think. They’re coming off a blowout loss in which they attempted 30 passes, more than enough to support a viable fantasy performance or two.
Plus, are the Panthers… still trying to win?
Should I Pickup Terrace Marshall Jr. In Fantasy Football?
Terrace Marshall makes for an intriguing waiver addition given his newly established rapport with P.J. Walker, the Panthers’ tanking attempt and willingness to involve young players, and the potential for him to develop a solid weekly floor.
In his first three games as a starter, he has been putting up WR3 metrics.
It is likely that he could be a weekly flex play moving forward, and he should be a primary target on the waiver wire this week.
