Curtis Samuel Catches Long Touchdown In Week 9
2 years agoWashington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel caught three-of-four targets for 65 yards and a touchdown along with one carry for 16 yards in Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Despite having his second straight game with just four targets, the 26-year-old had his best fantasy performance since Week 2. That output was largely due to a 49-yard touchdown grab that was assisted by a referee inadvertently getting in the way of a few Minnesota defenders. While this performance was a nice surprise, it is still concerning to see Samuel's targets fall off a cliff in the past couple of weeks. The Commanders have a tough matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10. We'll see if the sixth-year receiver manages to reclaim his previous high target usage.
