Tyler Allgeier Leads The Team In Rushing Yards
2 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier led the team with 99 rushing yards in the 20-17 Week 9 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The rookie running back finished second on the team with 10 rushing attempts, only three fewer than Cordarrelle Patterson. Many thought the former BYU star would take a backseat with the veteran's return. Instead, the Falcons used both running backs in Week 9. While Patterson found the end zone twice, Allgeier had 123 scrimmage yards on 11 touches, averaging 11.2 yards per touch. Hopefully, the rookie can put together another strong performance Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers.
