Darren Waller Injury Update
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) is officially questionable for the team's Week 9 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Waller hasn't played since Week 5, so his return could come back any time soon, and he's trending toward playing this week. That said, he could be ruled out before Sunday, so fantasy managers should be ready to replace him again if necessary.
Even though the Jaguars are a tough matchup for tight ends, Waller is a must-start since he still has top-five upside among tight ends. Foster Moreau is a strong streaming option if Waller is ultimately held out for one more week.
Mark Andrews Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens tight Mark Andrews is reportedly not dealing with serious injuries, but his status for Monday night's game against the New Orleans Saints is in question after missing a second straight practice Friday. With the game coming on Monday night, fantasy managers could get stuck in a tricky situation in Week 9.
Andrews has only three catches for 33 yards in the last two games, and rookie Isaiah Likely would have TE1 upside if Andrews doesn't play this week.
Cameron Brate Injury Update
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that tight end Cameron Brate (neck) is out for Week 9 against the Los Angeles Rams. Brate will miss his third straight game with a neck injury, and he's also missed four of the last five games. The 31-year-old returned to practice this week, though, so he'll have a good shot to return in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Rookie Cade Otton will continue to serve as the starting tight end with Brate out again, giving him TE2 streaming appeal.
