Deon Jackson Is Worth Monitoring For Week 9
2 years agoWith the Tuesday afternoon trade of Nyheim Hines to the Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson steps into the No. 2 role in the Colts backfield, at least for the time being after the Colts acquired Zack Moss. This position is especially important due to Jonathan Taylor's lingering ankle injury. When Taylor missed a game in Week 6, Jackson stepped into a workhorse role, rushing 12 times for 42 yards and a touchdown while catching all 10 targets for 79 yards. While he isn't fantasy relevant with Taylor in the lineup, that could easily change should Taylor miss Week 9. Jackson should be held onto, especially if you also have Taylor rostered, and he would be a plug-and-play flex if Taylor is out this Sunday.
