2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard will toe the rubber in Thursday's World Series Game 5 against the Houston Astros, potentially to close out the series. The opposing pitcher has not yet been announced. Thor has only pitched 5 1/3 innings this postseason with one start but has posted a stellar 1.69 ERA in his three outings. He compiled a 3.94 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 16.8% strikeout rate in 24 starts with the Angels and Phillies. He will either be pitching to win the World Series or to give the Phillies a final home win before heading back to Houston.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
