David Hensley Serving As The DH Monday
2 years agoHouston Astros rookie infielder David Hensley will serve as the designated hitter and bat seventh on Monday in Game 3 of the World Series against Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Noah Syndergaard. Trey Mancini will start on the bench. Yordan Alvarez is starting in left field and is hitting third in the batting lineup, as usual. In his first MLB season this year, Hensley played in only 16 games with the Astros and hit .345 (10-for-29) with a homer, five RBI, seven runs scored, five walks and six strikeouts. He has just two plate appearances in the postseason, with both coming in the American League Division Series against the Seattle Mariners. Hensley is hitless in his two plate appearances with a hit by pitch.
