Sammy Watkins A Risky Deep-League Flex
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Sammy Watkins will travel to Buffalo Sunday to face the Bills. The 29-year-old returned to the field last week after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 2, recording four targets while playing 52% of the snaps. With Allen Lazard (shoulder) out, Watkins should step into the No. 1 wide receiver spot for the Packers. However, the passing attack for Green Bay has struggled mightily through seven weeks, and Buffalo is allowing the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position. Watkins can be used as a FLEX option in 14-to-16-team leagues due to valuable receivers in Kansas City and Los Angeles being on bye. However, the veteran receiver carries a low ceiling because of the stiff matchup and could easily record fewer than five total fantasy points.
