Jaylen Waddle Injury News
Waddle's shoulder injury is nothing new for the talented wideout as he popped up on the injury report ahead of Week 7 before ultimately playing.
He has been no stranger to the Dolphins' injury report in 2022 as he previously missed practice time with a groin injury. That being said, Waddle has appeared in all seven of Miami's contests this season with a season-low snap percentage of 66.7% back in Week 1.
By all accounts, Waddle did not suffer a setback in Week 7, so it is possible that the Dolphins are just playing it conservatively with their star wideout.
Is Jaylen Waddle Injured or Playing in Week 8?
Waddle has seemingly been banged up all season but he continues to play through his injuries while at the same time finding ways to produce on the field.
It is reasonable to be cautiously optimistic that Waddle will be able to play in Week 8, although any time a player shows up on the injury report it is worth monitoring. Thus far he has been able to get in limited practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. He followed a similar practice schedule last week before ultimately suiting up against the Steelers.

Keep monitoring Waddle's status leading up until kickoff on Sunday, but he can tentatively be trusted as a WR1 in fantasy lineups against a Detroit pass defense that has struggled in 2022. As can be seen above, Detroit could be without several members of their secondary in Week 8, including starting safety DeShon Elliott. If Waddle is active, he should be slotted into starting lineups in fantasy.
