Minnesota Wild left wing Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) was activated from Long-Term Injured Reserve on Wednesday and looks set to rejoin the lineup against the San Jose Sharks. The news comes after Wild head coach John Hynes said Wednesday morning that he is "hopeful" of having Kaprizov available against the Sharks. Minnesota has been without Kaprizov since Jan. 26. Kaprizov is projected to skate with Marco Rossi and Mats Zuccarello and should receive heavy usage on the power play. He has recorded 52 points (23 goals, 29 assists) in 37 games this season.

Minnesota Wild left wing Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) could make his long-awaited return to the lineup on Wednesday night against the San Jose Sharks. The Russian superstar has been out of action since Jan. 26 due to a lower-body injury. Before suffering the injury, Kaprizov was on fire, racking up 23 goals and 52 points in 37 games. Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body) is also on the cusp of returning, so the Wild may have two big offensive pieces back for the final push in the regular season. Wednesday's contest is crucial for a team clinging to the final wild-card position in the Western Conference.

Minnesota Wild left wing Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) is "going to be out longer than expected," according to general manager Bill Guerin. Earlier in January, the star winger underwent surgery and was expected to miss at least four weeks of action. However, Kaprizov will now miss a longer period. Fantasy managers should continue monitoring his status, but the 27-year-old currently has an unclear timetable. Across 37 contests, Kaprizov has found the back of the net 23 times and added 29 helpers. He averaged 3.5 shots on goal per game and held a plus-14 rating. While he continues to remain sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Matt Boldy to remain on the top unit alongside Marco Rossi and Matt Zuccarello.

According to the team, the Minnesota Wild have placed left wing Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) on the injured reserve. The 27-year-old will undergo surgery and is expected to miss at least four weeks of action. Kaprizov missed time earlier this season with this same injury but faced a setback and will now require surgery. Over his previous three contests, Kaprizov tallied two helpers and averaged just under three shots on goal per game. Across 37 contests this season, Kaprizov has scored 23 goals and 29 helpers, with 12 of his points coming on the power-play. He has averaged 3.5 shots on goal per game while logging 22 minutes of ice time per game. While sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Matt Boldy to operate as the top left wing in the Minnesota offense for the foreseeable future.
