2 years agoSan Antonio Spurs guards Devin Vassell (knee) and Joshua Primo (glute) are listed as out Friday against the Chicago Bulls. Both Vassell and Primo will miss their second consecutive games with their respective ailments and should be considered questionable moving forward. Josh Richardson will likely see another start and is worth a look in both DFS and season long leagues. In his last start, Richardson posted a full lines of 11 points, 10 assists, three rebounds, two steals, two threes and a block in 33 minutes.

Devin Vassell Uncertain For Wednesday
1 month agoSan Antonio Spurs forward Devin Vassell (wrist) is listed as questionable ahead of Wednesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. It appears Vassell picked up a right wrist contusion during Monday's contest against the Mavs. The Spurs could be shorthanded for this game with Jeremy Sochan (calf) listed as questionable as well. Keldon Johnson is coming off a 28-point outing and is looking like an excellent streaming option for Wednesday. Julian Champagnie and Stephon Castle could be looking at extended run as well.

Devin Vassell Sits Out Friday's Game
4 months agoSan Antonio Spurs guard/forward Devin Vassell (foot) will exit the lineup on Friday against Sacramento. This is the second leg of a back-to-back for the Spurs, and Vassell will be rested for the contest as he continues to manage a right foot injury. Vassell has been used as a microwave scorer off the bench this season. He's averaged 17.8 points in 23.5 minutes across eight outings. His absence on Friday will give his teammates a lot of additional scoring opportunities. With Victor Wembanyama (back) also on the shelf, Keldon Johnson will be expected to lead the offense alongside Chris Paul and Jeremy Sochan. Johnson scored a team-high 28 points in Thursday's 139-124 loss to Chicago.

Devin Vassell Expected To Return On Wednesday
5 months agoSan Antonio Spurs guard/forward Devin Vassell (knee) will sit out a fifth consecutive game on Tuesday versus Utah but is expected to be back on the court Wednesday night against the Lakers. Vassell missed the start of the campaign with a foot injury and has now been out with a knee contusion. He's been limited to four appearances, averaging 16.3 points and 3.5 assists in 22.5 minutes. Vassell had a bench role in the few games he played earlier in the season, but he's previously been a starter for San Antonio and will likely threaten Stephon Castle's spot in the first unit once he's fully up to speed.

5 months agoSan Antonio Spurs guard/forward Devin Vassell (knee) will sit out a third consecutive game on Thursday against Utah. After missing the start of the season due to foot surgery. Vassell is carrying a sore left knee The 24-year-old has been limited to four appearances, averaging 16.3 points and 3.5 assists in 22.5 minutes. Vassell's health issues have helped Stephon Castle to nail down a spot in the starting unit. The 20-year-old rookie has averaged 13.3 points and 4.5 assists in a starting role. Vassell's absence also boosts the fantasy appeal of Keldon Johnson, but he's been extremely inconsistent this season.
