Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase suffered a hip injury in Week 6 against the New Orleans Saints. Despite the injury, the second-year receiver finished the game with seven receptions on 10 targets for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
Last week the star receiver re-aggravated the injury against the Atlanta Falcons late in the first half. However, he played in the second half and totaled eight receptions on 11 targets for 130 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
Unfortunately, the hip injury has become a bigger problem for Chase.

Is Ja'Marr Chase Healthy Or Injured?
The superstar wide receiver will reportedly miss the next 4-6 weeks because of the hip injury and could be placed on injured reserve.
While the news is heartbreaking, Chase won’t need surgery. Therefore, there is a chance he could return sooner than the estimated timeline.
Should I Pick Up Tyler Boyd?
With Chase out for the next several weeks, the Bengals will lean on Tee Higgins and Boyd.
Last week, the former Pittsburgh Panther had his best game of the year, totaling eight receptions on nine targets for 155 receiving yards. He also caught a 60-yard touchdown early in the first quarter.
If Boyd is available on your league’s waiver wire, add him immediately. However, the veteran receiver is rostered in 65% of ESPN leagues. Therefore, he likely isn’t available in most 12-team leagues.
Who Else Should I Target On The Waiver Wire?
Ideally, fantasy players who lost Chase can add Boyd off the waiver wire or acquire him in a trade. However, there are a few high-upside wide receivers available on the waiver wire if Boyd isn't an option.
Joshua Palmer, Wan’Dale Robinson, Jameson Williams, and Donovan Peoples-Jones are four high-upside potential replacement options. All four are available in at least 70% of ESPN leagues. Of the group, Robinson is my favorite target.
The rookie receiver from Kentucky missed time this year with a knee injury. However, he’s played well since his return. Over the past two weeks, Robinson has nine receptions on 12 targets for 87 receiving yards and one touchdown while scoring 19.2 half-point PPR fantasy points.
Furthermore, the rookie has averaged 0.28 half-point PPR fantasy points per snap over the past two weeks. More importantly, he is the unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver for the New York Giants after they traded away Kadarius Toney this morning.
Despite his situation, Robinson is still available in 74% of ESPN leagues. Fantasy players who need a high-upside replacement for Chase should target Boyd off the waiver wire. However, if the Cincinnati veteran isn’t available, Robinson is an excellent backup option.
