Carolina Panthers running back D'Onta Foreman is a trending name in fantasy football after a stellar performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Christian McCaffrey (traded to the 49ers) out of town, Foreman and Chuba Hubbard are the lead backs for Carolina.
The offense might not be pretty for the Panthers, but any running back(s) with a significant workload has previous value in fantasy football, especially with all the injuries the position has endured through seven weeks of games.
Hubbard and Foreman are both headliners in waiver wire articles and outlooks, so let's dive into it.

How Did D'Onta Foreman Play in Week 8?
While splitting backfield duties with Hubbard, Foreman handled 15 rushes and two receptions for 145 yards in the win against Tampa Bay. He saw six more touches than Hubbard, who left the game late in the contest with an ankle injury.
Despite Hubbard scoring a touchdown while Foreman did not, it was Foreman who had more fantasy points and more opportunities.
Should I Pick Up D'Onta Foreman in Fantasy Football?
Based on his Week 7 production, Foreman is a top waiver wire add for Week 8. Foreman looks like the more explosive runner and led the team in touches, so he's probably the guy to add if you're deciding between the two Panthers running backs. Hubbard's ankle injury is reportedly minor, but it could affect his play and lead to more volume for Foreman.
Foreman had a quality second half of the season last year when stepping in for an injured Derrick Henry in Tennessee, so his production feels more sustainable than Hubbard's, who failed to flash in his rookie season.
It's important to note this backfield could vary week to week and either or both Foreman and Hubbard could bust in what should still be viewed as a poor offense, but both are worth rostering. Neither gives you a must-start RB2 in shallower leagues, but both are decent to quality flex plays in leagues of all sizes.
