Texans Sign Tyron Johnson To Active Roster
2 years agoThe Houston Texans signed former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyron Johnson to their active roster on Tuesday, according to a source. The Raiders recently cut Johnson from the practice squad, but now he'll latch on with the Texans. He was active for two games with Las Vegas this year but wasn't targeted at all on offense and played a grand total of four offensive snaps in those two games. The 26-year-old has 22 career receptions on 31 targets for 414 yards and three touchdowns in three NFL seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars and the Raiders. Johnson will help provide receiving depth behind Brandin Cooks, Nico Collins, Chris Moore, Phillip Dorsett and Tyler Johnson.
