Yu Darvish Allows Two Earned Runs In Six Innings Sunday
2 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Yu Darvish threw six innings on Sunday in his most recent playoff outing. The veteran scattered four hits, a pair of earned runs, three walks, and a home run in those six innings while striking out five batters on 91 pitches against the Philadelphia Phillies in the fifth game of the National League Championship Series. San Diego couldn't come away with the win in the game, ending the team's season as the Phillies won the series in five games. Overall, Darvish logged a 2.88 ERA and a 5.99 FIP in four postseason starts spanning 25 innings this year. He logged a 3.10 ERA and a 3.31 FIP, to go along with 197 strikeouts and 37 walks allowed, in 194.2 regular season innings.
