NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 10/24/22
We have a massive slate Monday with six games after there were five games Sunday. There are several early-season matchups that will be interesting to follow throughout the night. I will do my best in navigating you through a busy Monday slate which starts at 7:00 PM EST.
NHL DFS Goalies
Jake Oettinger- DK $8.0K || FD $7.8K
Opponent - Ottawa Senators
If Jake Oettinger starts Monday against Ottawa he should be considered as an option to draft. He carries 1.25 goals-against-average and he has a record of 4-0-0. Ottawa has won three games in a row but Oettinger has been up to the task of shutting down high-powered offenses like the Senators. Plus Oettinger has a great team in front of him who have posted a 4-0-1 record so far.

Sidney Crosby-DK $7.5K || FD $9.7K
Opponent - Edmonton Oilers
Through five contests the Penguin's veteran centerman Sidney Crosby is providing an abundant amount of offensive production. He's already logged three goals and seven assists in just five games sitting tied for fourth in the league in points. Pittsburgh is tied for second in the NHL standing with nine points. They face the Oilers who are off to a bad start with a 2-3-0 record and are coming off a home loss to St. Louis on Saturday.
Leon Draisaitl - DK $7.7K || FD $10K
Opponent - Pittsburgh Penguins
Despite having a tough matchup against Pittsburgh centerman Leon Draisaitl is bound to pick up a point or two Monday. The reason I went with him over his teammate and superstar Connor McDavid is he's quite a bit cheaper both on DraftKings at $.7.7K and $10K on FanDuel. Regardless both centerman should get back on the scoresheet after being held scoreless on Saturday.

Vladimir Tarasenko- DK $7.4K || FD $7.K
Opponent - Winnipeg Jets
The winger has had an impressive start to his season recording six points in three Blues games. He leads St. Louis both in goals and assists. He has a favorable matchup against the Jets who have lost their last two games.
Andrei Svechnikov - DK $6.9K || FD $8.7K
Opponent - Vancouver Canucks
Winger Andrei Svechnikov is playing extremely well for Carolina with six goals and two assists in just five games. The sharp-shooting forward leads his team with eight points and he has 18 shots on goal. He should be able to get on the scoresheet with the Hurricanes playing the struggling Vancouver Canucks who are 0-4-1.

NHL DFS Defensemen
Jon Carlson- DK $7.1 || FD $6.8K
Opponent - New Jersey Devils
Veteran defenseman Jon Carlson is on fire collecting five points in Washington's last three games. He should continue producing points as he already has 19 shots on goal and he averages 24:25 of total ice time per game.
Thomas Chabot- DK $6.3K || FD $5.8K
Opponent - Dallas Stars
Chabot has just two points in five games for Ottawa. However, he averaged 24.56 of total ice time in those contests while producing 13 shots on goals. It's only a matter of time before he becomes more consistent offensively as the Senators have netted 21 goals this season.
